[Interpretation] NCC Low Power RF Technical Specifications Updated!

Since the opening of Wi-Fi 6E in August last year, NCC has been revising and improving the technical requirements for Wi-Fi 6E. Finally, on February 6, 2024, the LP0002 113 version of the Low Power RF Equipment Technical Specification was released, mainly updating Chapter 5.13 of Wi-Fi 6E, while the content of other chapters remained unchanged.

For the latest public LP0002 113 version, what are the technical requirements? Here is a detailed explanation:

>> Major Updates <<

The LP0002 113 version has mainly updated and added section 5.13, which points out that the operating frequency band of 6 GHz wireless access systems including Radio Local Area Network (WAS/RLAN) devices is 5.945 GHz to 6.425 GHz.

Consistent with CE, NCC did not open the conventional Wi-Fi 6E band 5 frequency band 5925 MHz ~ 6425 MHz, but instead shrunk in the low-frequency band by 20 MHz (5925 MHz → 5945 MHz).

>> Equipment Categories <<

Descriptions of 6 GHz WAS/RLAN equipment categories and sub-categories are provided in LP0002 113 version (consistent with CE):

>> Test Items <<

Application LP0002 113 version, the following items need to be certified:

In early January 2024, NCC issued a statement stating that there are two methods for applying for the Wi-Fi 6E (5945 MHz to 6425 MHz) frequency band, and provided a transition period.
