IEC 61850-3 Substation environmental standard capacity expansion

In recent years, with the continuous deepening of the transformation of the national power grid and the substantial improvement of the operating level, the improvement and operation of the integrated automation system of the substation is not only the need for the development of science and technology, but also represents the general trend of the development of the power grid. Due to the complex and harsh environment of the substation, the immunity problem of the integrated automation of the substation, that is, we usually call electromagnetic compatibility, is very important in the operation of the system, because the anti-interference ability is the premise of ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the integrated automation system.


The IEC 61850 standard is the only international standard for substation automation systems based on a common network communication platform, which was developed by three working groups 10,11,12(WG10/11/12) of the Technical Committee 57 of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IECTC57). Among them, the general requirements of IEC 61850-3 have the following requirements for electromagnetic compatibility:


Enclosure port, there are three test items such as Power frequency magnetic field, Radiated, radio-frequency electromagnetic field and Electrostatic discharge (Table 9), where the Power frequency magnetic field needs to test 100 A/m continuous interference and 1000A/m short-time interference;

Signal port, with Mains frequency voltage, Surge, Damped oscillatory wave, Fast transient/burst and Conducted disturbances (Table 10);

AC power port, with Voltage dips and interruptions, Surges, Damped oscillatory wave, Fast transient/burst and Conducted disturbances (Table 11);

DC power port, with Voltage dips and interruptions, Ripple on d.c. power supply, Mains frequency voltage, Surge, Damped oscillatory wave, Fast transient/burst and Conducted disturbances (Table 12);

Compared with the traditional detection items, the IEC 61000-4-16 Mains frequency voltage, IEC 61000-4-17 Ripple on d.c. power supply and IEC 61000-4-18 Damped oscillatory wave are added.
